APPOINTMENT OF PERFORMANCE, RISK AND AUDIT COMMITTEE MEMBERS ( Two Positions)
Applications are hereby invited from individuals with the applicable qualifications for the above vacancies.
In terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act (No.56 of 2003), Section 166, the Municipal Performance Management Regulations and the National Treasury Risk Management Framework, suitable, qualified and interested candidates are invited to become a member of the Witzenberg Combined Performance, Risk and Audit Committee for a period of three (3) years.
The ideal candidate should be:
Performance Management expert
Audit and Risk Management expert
In addition to the above, candidates should demonstrate experience in participating in governance structures, the ability to dedicate time to the activities of Witzenberg Municipality’s Performance, Risk and Audit Committee, have an inquisitive personality within reasonable levels of probing, analytical reasoning abilities and good communication skills, and a fair understanding of the regulatory framework within which municipalities operate.
Terms of appointment: Appointments will be made for a period of three years, subject to the requirements of Section 14(2) (a) of the Municipal Planning and Performance Management Regulations. This is not a full-time appointment. Members may not serve on more than three (3) audit committees and must be resident within a 200km radius of Ceres.
The Performance, Risk and Audit Committee have four statutory meetings per annum and additional meetings may be convened as deemed necessary.
